Networks and Technology Delivering the Premier platform for the new Global Healthcare environment, MVI provides flexible private label solutions for both domestic and international healthcare market places and online travel bookings for consumer-based healthcare.
These solutions include innovative approaches to provide preferred access to MedicaView's affordable Provider Network for employer groups and private individuals as well as custom solutions to enable "Any Country to Any Country" Medical Travel/Medical Tourism. There are two primary patient groups that desire affordable global healthcare options– the insured and the private pay. Within those groups there exists both the medical traveler and the medical tourist.
The medical traveler is typically interested in high cost procedures that will save a significant amount of money and are typically related to necessary treatments that will prolong life or reduce chronic pain.
While they may combine this with tourist activities, tourism is not the primary driver. This is likely to be the high growth area over the next few years as employer groups and the general population become better educated to the benefits of medical travel. There is generally a higher motivational factor involved in this segment related to quality of life and to cost.
The private pay market segment will use this option because they have no choice. The insured segment will choose it because their employer offers it as part of their plan which provides significant economic incentive. The channel for the private pay will be our public sites and the channel for the insured will be our preferred provider network.
The medical tourist, on the other hand, is generally focused more on cosmetic, dental, or other elective procedures that they can have while on holiday. They are the more casual patient that says, "Since I am going to be traveling anyway and it is much cheaper at my destination, I might as well have it done." Therefore, the medical tourist could just as easily be insured as uninsured.
MVI’s hosted solutions enable each of these segments to find, compare, and select high quality affordable healthcare through solutions for the general public and for employers, health plans, and third party administrators. | Strategy and Implementation
The best technology and healthcare provider networks have little value in the real world unless coupled with an appropriate strategy to satisfy organizational strategic objectives. MedicaView provides guidance through its comprehensive strategic methodologies that address overall strategy, market engineering, and technology. The methodologies recognize processes and objectives must be "engineered" on a case by case basis because one approach does not always fit. Technology and infrastructure should then follow goals and objectives rather than the other way around. Too often, processes simply evolve. Tools and practices are built, but underlying processes are not always "rethought" from a business perspective. Because this approach is multi-disciplinary, MedicaView’s teams have the backgrounds to enable a true cross-enterprise effort that addresses all parts of the Ecosystem: government, private sector, jobs, skills, structure, information technology, management systems, business processes, and even values and beliefs. An undertaking of this magnitude often seems overwhelming. This is why these techniques are often tailored to specific implementations and phased in achievable parts. They are also scalable; that is, they can be applied within a single area, company, department, ministry, or throughout the ecosystem. Within the above processes, overriding strategic components are addressed with market engineering and technology subsets. There are significant opportunities globally to become more effective at easing the flow of patients to centers of excellence in order to provide afforbable high quality care. These methodologies are proven to deliver the right solution in a variety of circumstances as they are tailored to address phased approaches to meeting high value objectives. |
